Supernatural “Games” – A Psychological Explanation?

I’ll preface this by saying I don’t personally believe in another world/dimension/force or anything, but that the experiences people have in these “games” are actually result of some interesting psychology. I’m going to try to explain the results of these using what I’ve learned of the way the human brain operates

Rising Star Cave and Shanidar Cave – Ancient Fossils Hidden for Millenia

In South Africa, near where many of the earliest Hominin (human-like) fossils were found, lies Rising Star Cave. Explored recreationally since the 70s, this cave is your typical claustrophobia inducing nightmare – Pitch black, winding narrow tunnels and dead ends. Until 2013, it wasn’t especially extraordinary. It was then that two cavers noticed a narrow fissure in the rock, later named the Dragon’s Back, and followed the gap that was at times as narrow as 8 inches. At the end they discovered the Dinaledi Chamber – or Chamber of Stars – littered with human bones. They also noticed survey pegs, indicating one other modern human had also been here before but never announced this discovery. A group of six women named the “Underground Astronauts” later arrived to study this curious arrangement of bones.
